Socio-Economic Benefits and Sustainability

As DGPC's newest commissioned facility, the Suchhu Hydropower Plant is in its early operational phase. In line with DGPC's established approach across all its hydropower projects, the plant is expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of communities in the Haa district. DGPC's standard commitments to community development, environmental stewardship, and support for local infrastructure — including education, healthcare, and cultural preservation — will be extended to the Suchhu project area as the plant reaches full operational maturity. Detailed socio-economic impact data will be reported as part of DGPC's annual reporting cycle.
